Highline is a payments startup that helps billers and lenders accept repayments from their customers' payroll. By automating bill payment from income, consumers can get approved for credit more easily and pay down loans faster without worrying about missed payments and overdraft fees.

What you’ll be doing

As our first Product Designer, you’ll lead design projects of significant scope, complexity and responsibility in creative vision, strategy and execution. We're in build mode, majorly expanding our team while also growing up as a company. This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to play a formative role in an early stage startup.

• Responsible for the end-to-end design process, leveraging their product thinking, systems thinking, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping skills to deliver world-class experiences.
• ​​Work side-by-side with product managers, engineers, risk, compliance, marketing, and other stakeholders from around the company to develop the tools and processes they need to build world-class user experiences
• Design web and mobile experiences that are simple and intuitive
• Be data-informed and also customer-centric in your approach
• Share your work, process, and trade-offs to cross-functional stakeholders and crave feedback to help you produce your best work

What we are looking for

• 3+ years of experience with end-to-end product design. 
• Proficient in product design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Origami, Principal
• Have experience designing for business and developer-focused products
• Can reduce complex problems down to the right balance of flexibility, power, and ease of use
• Are committed to building a sustainable and scalable business by balancing customers needs, members needs, and business needs
• Having a divergent exploratory process with the ability to communicate trade-offs
• Resourceful, biased toward action, and excited about the opportunity to work in an early stage startup.
• Bonus: Past experience designing on a platform team, such as Payments, Privacy, or Trust, or working on developer-focused financial products.
