Language: We operate internally and externally in English (US)

Hours: 40 hours per week for full-time. You're free to choose your own hours as long as there's some overlap during the daytime of our CET team for meetings and other internal cultural events

Level: Junior-Mid (roughly 2-4yrs)

Salary: Starting at €46,250 - €53,500 for full-time

Note: We've defined a salary range for this role based on the level of initiative and experience we're looking for. This isn't the “limit” and there's room for you to grow at Frontastic.

You’ll be part of our new Growth team — guiding the design process from research and problem scrutiny to concept development and final solutions. Working closely with product management and engineering, your mission will be to ensure the best user experience to impact our business and bring value to our customers.

🔥 What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Own the end-to-end design process, from research to interaction and visual design for our components library and new commercetools for Growth product
  • Creating a holistic user experience to match customer and business needs
  • Consider solutions from multiple perspectives and quickly sketch and prototype ideas to assess their viability
  • Conduct customer research and translate the data obtained into solutions that solve our customers' problems
  • Partner with product managers and engineers to achieve the team's goal and deliver the best possible solutions to our users
  • Communicate design opinions effectively
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of our design system
  • Uphold product marketing with illustrations and design artifacts

💪 What you'll accomplish in your first 90-days

  • Develop a knowledge of our product, its value proposition and differentiation, and how it fits into the current commerce landscape
  • Get to know the company, the different teams, and how you can be an ally
  • Get to know your cross-functional team and take part in their ceremonies
  • Gain knowledge of the design process and other artifacts, such as the design system, document organization, solution briefs, and so on
  • Get to know our customers by attending customer and prospect meetings and by reading notes from previous sessions
  • Start working on your first projects collectively with our UX and Design Lead

🧩 You'll likely have this experience

  • Experience designing digital products with a focus on B2B business
  • Familiar with the end-to-end design process
  • Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, UI specifications, and usability testing
  • A self-starter, you're always looking for practical and realistic solutions
  • Communicating the design work and the fundamentals of your proposals
  • Comfortable iterating on feedback from design and other teams, and not afraid to express the reasoning behind your ideas
  • Experience conducting user interviews is a plus

🕒 We aim to respond to all candidates within 72 hours (except weekends).

1️⃣ Submit your application to our team for review

2️⃣ Discovery call (30min) with Peter, our Chief Product Officer, to discuss the role, our culture, and find out if it's a good alignment with your own preferences and skills

3️⃣ Culture questions (via email) to see how you approach important topics such as growth and work planning

4️⃣ First interview (60min) with Catherine, Product Manager, and Allende, UX and Design Lead for some of our internal teams, to have a deeper discussion about this role as well as find out how you'll make an impact inside the team

5️⃣ Second interview (60min) with Alexandra, Engineering Manager, and Klaudija, Frontend Developer to discuss our engineering teams and cross-functional collaboration

6️⃣ You will be invited to complete a presentation on a specific topic as part of the interview process. You'll have a chance to prepare a 20-minute presentation to a panel of Frontastic product and development team members, followed by a 20 minute Q and A, and then 10-min at the end for candidate questions.

7️⃣ Coffee Break (30min) an informal chat with members of the team to get to know who you'll be working with
