Pivot seeks a Senior Graphic Designer for the 2022 election cycle. This is a fully remote position in our Creative Department reporting to the Creative Director.

The Senior Graphic Designer works with our award-winning creative and client services teams to produce polished, attention-grabbing materials. We are looking for a skilled designer with previous print production experience. In this role, you will help lead creative strategies for Pivot's clients and execute projects from concept to delivery. Ideal candidates are proactive, highly organized, and detail-oriented. Senior Graphic Designers create quick and thoughtful solutions to meet client needs and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This is a full-time, temporary position through Election Day 2022 with a competitive salary and benefits. The nature of our business requires long, irregular hours and weekend work as necessary. We expect all staff to be flexible in this area. However, Pivot actively works to ensure all staff maintain a healthy work/life balance.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead design projects and produce modern, compelling visuals for Pivot's clients
  • Create production-ready work across platforms, including direct mail, brand identity, and digital
  • Address and interpret client edits to develop an optimal finished product
  • Effectively communicate design concepts to team members and clients
  • Provide constructive feedback to other designers and Pivot staff
  • Prepare final design files to ensure highest quality 
  • Carry out design concepts with minimal guidance
  • Maintain digital file library including software, fonts, and other creative assets
  • Participate in creative meetings and brainstorming sessions
  • Mentor junior designers, interns, and new hires

 

Qualifications

What you bring to the team:

  • 2+ years of professional graphic design experience required
  • Strong understanding of print design, pre-press, and commercial print processes
  • Portfolio of engaging, strategic work including illustration
  • Advanced proficiency designing in Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and WordPress 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality control

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think strategically and conceptually


Special consideration will be given to candidates that also demonstrate: 

  • Direct mail experience strongly preferred
  • Leadership experience and ability to mentor junior staff
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Understanding of digital and social media strategies

Compensation & Benefits 

The salary range for this position is $5,000 - $5,800 per month, based off employee experience. There is also the opportunity for end of election bonuses, based off individual and firm performance.
